Auxiliary and part-time Deputies

The Prairie County Sheriff's Department (PCSD) has 13 part-time or auxiliary deputies.

These deputies have all been certified through the State of Arkansas Law enforcement Standards and have completed all classes to become certified. These deputies volunteer their time and donate their time after their full-time jobs to help with patrols, answering calls, taking reports and transporting inmates.

Since Prairie County has a small full-time staff the auxiliary deputies make a huge contribution helping in their free time.

Anyone interested in becoming an auxiliary deputy can fill out an application with PCSD, then go through the application and review process.
