As of Tuesday, July 18, the Prairie County Sheriff's Department currently has 37 individuals in custody on both felony and/or misdemeanor charges at the Prairie County Detention Center, located in Des Arc.

Recent additions include -- zero female for misdemeanor, zero female on a felony, one male on felony and three males for misdemeanor -- charges. 

Recent arrests include:

• Whitney Scruggs was arrested on felony contempt of court and child support charges; 
• Bobby Elmore received a Driving While Intoxicated charge along with driving with out insurance, a failure to appear warrant and refusal of the Breathalyzer test, which are misdemeanor charges; 
• Bobby Smith was arrested on harassment and coercion charges, both misdemeanors; and 
• Jerry Barnes was picked up on a failure to appear charge.
